Create a blog in a seperate niche, don’t blog about everything in a single blog.

I started blogging since last month, but I have learnt about how making money online for about 3 years. Before I only made money online from both readings paid emails, subscriptions and betting on soccer/basketball games. Now I’m making money from either google adsense or bidvertiser, along with chitika and several refferal programs. I am going to promote products from some marketplace like clickbank, paydotcom and click2sell. I don’t like scam nor hype, I just want to promote products that are very helpful in the success of my readers. I am very determinated to quit my day work and spend more time on my blog to generate a decent income. I probably made a mistake in choosing my name as my domain name, but it will be a great challenge to gather visitors to my blog.

I’ve just been blogging since late last year, and LOVE it. I am a writer, and would write for free, pretty much what I’m doing. But would LOVE to get paid. Excellent Excellent post! I have been working online for a little over 10 years now and I have been working “Niche Traffic” the entire time. There is a tremendous amount of potential in niche blogging, or niche anything.

Hi Meg,

Affiliate programs works only if the ads are related to your blog.

For example, like your blog, Developerholic, you are only using adsense to monetize when you can use many other themes affiliate program to monetize.

There are a lot of wordpress theme affiliate programs that converts well like THESIS and AFFILIATE theme or you can search on google.

I have three niche bloggers, one that gives me a stable amount of money ($100-$200/month), one that I never thought would make me money, and one that never actually made money.

But had never ever dive into having an affiliate niche site.

Great post – it sounds wonderful. I’m just getting started with a new blog, and of course I have high hopes to have a lot of traffic someday in the future. It would be a dream come true to be able to make a living from blogging, but I’m having a blast now just getting a few comments and subscribers.

You can also make a decent income by building an email list of readers in your niche, starting a newsletter, guest posting once you get a following…the possibilities are endless!
